Week 11

This week we discussed landing page optimization and basic SEO. The landing page is the first impression a potential customer will see of your business. It is important to make sure the landing page gives immediate engagement and value to viewers.


SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, which is the process of making your website more likely to show up in a search. A good outline to live by when optimizing your website is to remember that words matter. This includes in descriptions, titles, and links. The internet will find any on your site and store them as information pertaining to your business. Additionally, the internet will recognize links to your site in other businesses (or links to other sites from your page) as recommendations, meaning the more you have, the higher the list your site will be. Finally, reputation is important, and the internet views this in a consistent flow of new and well rated content.
