This week we learned about advertising your website on Google Ads. Google ads is the what allows your website to show up when people search specific keywords. There are many things to consider when setting up your ad. Think about your target audience and what locations they will be in, what devices they will use, and what their optimal budget is. There are other things to consider, but these are the main ones.
When creating creating the ads, it is important to choose good keywords. The most important thing to consider is keeping your keywords in the fine line between vagueness and niche. If it is too focused and niche, the ad will only show up for really specific searchers, which makes it unlikely that anyone will ever see your site. People tend to be lazy when searching, so it needs to be broad enough that they can find your site without needing to know specific things about it. If it is too vague and broad, however, it will come up for people who are not searching for your specific service or product. This is frustrating for them, so it might give you a bad reputation.
