Week 8

This week went further into creating an Ad for your website. We specifically touched on Responsive Search Ads (RSAs). An RSA is what Google leads for most people to use. It works by having the business give Google a variety of headers and descriptions, then they will match up the best ones based on what the internet knows about the person searching for the website. It is better than a regular Written Ad because it customizes specifically to what is most likely to get the searcher is most likely to click on. However, a Written Ad is better because, if the ad creator is not careful, RSAs can sometimes make weird combinations that are difficult to understand or unappealing.

When creating an RSA, there are a few things to keep in mind. The most important factors to create a working RSA are the headlines, descriptions, and links. The links are fairly simple, just put in the link for your website. In-site links are optional but encouraged to show viewers what types of pages you have. It is important to make sure your headers and descriptions advertise relevant products and services from your website. Additionally, it is important to make sure repetitive or opposing headlines and descriptions cannot be arranged in a way that might be confusing or unappealing. To do this, simply pin them to the same space, that way they will never show at the same time. In order to write headlines and descriptions possible, consider the following. Keep a focus in mind, what exactly are you wanting your viewers to know about your business? Next, use action words that catch the viewers attention and tell them what they can do on your website. Highlight the variety of products and services your business offers and explain why your business is unique and the best option for them to visit.
